House is situated in the Victoria Gozo city core. It is inside the 'pedestrian' zone around St. George's Square. A very quiet but highly frequented 'character' street. Most of the houses in this street are lived in and only one or two have a ghost residing in them (joking).
Behind the Entrance Hall (Intrata) the Staircase takes the whole width of the house, which is about 18 feet. As I climbed the stairs to view the upper rooms, I noticed that the steps are very wide and kind on the legs, not hard to climb at all.

This bedroom is slightly smaller situated over the kitchen. It has a window on the courtyard and a small door which leads to the roof by a stone old-fashioned spiral which is very quaint. Behind this door there is a spare toilet.
Another bedroom which is quite big lies over the entrance hall with the characteristic closed wooden Maltese balcony looking on the street.

Property in Victoria is worth more than in the other villages. When you buy a 'good' property in Victoria you are almost sure that you would find a buyer if you ever decide to re-sell it in the future. Besides you would probably get a good price for it with a profit in the bargain.
In my opinion Victoria is the number 1 location with Marsalforn coming a close second.

I wish to explain how a British couple, whom I know acquired the house of their dreams without much ado. This is rather obvious really, but still.
First they ear-marked 3 properties which they liked most of all, within their price range, in the town/village of their choice, etc.
Secondly they booked a hotel and hopped over to Gozo for a short 3-day viewing 'holiday' guided by the realtor concerned.
On the second day they made a second visit to the HOUSE that met with their expectations and talked to the owner. Again guided by the realtor they agreed upon the price and all the important legal matters. Finally they decided to draw the preliminary contract the next day.
On day 3, the Notary continued to explain the legal side of the transaction to set their minds completely at rest and the preliminary deed was drawn.
